## What is it? A personal blog for Wes to jot down his thoughts on everything from Data Engineering, to the AI world, to thoughts on cognition and learning. Instead of boring my non-technical friends, and my family, with these topics I will, instead, give them to you all! The goal here is to have a combination of practical application (tutorials, examples, etc.), theory and commentary (blog, ramblings, thoughts, etc.), and to communicated on other topics of interest to me. ## Who am I? My name is Wes. I am a Software Engineer specializing in Data Engineering. I've been doing this since 2017, riding the waves of the domain. I've mostly worked for small-to-midsize companies and done a bit of consulting as well. I've always been the guy to seek out the "jobs no one wants to do" which has made my career much wider than my title might imply! Although my title has fluctuated around Data Engineer, Senior, Lead, Architect, and Manager at different times I've also done extensive stints in Backend Engineering and Platform Architecting. My career accelerated quickly, but I tried to soak up and be a part of everything I could which has led me to have (what I think) are some interesting perspectives and experiences which I hope to share through various ramblings here. ## Where Else Are You?
